Our Top 10 (Okay, 11) Wedding Blogs of 2013

We asked around and got our couples’ list of top wedding blogs for the year. And since there were so many of them, we had to choose not just 10, but 11 (in no particular order)!

Wedding blogs are the perfect stop whether you’re looking for just a certain type of inspiration or ideas to help throughout your entire wedding planning process. They serve as wonderful tools for planning and are of course just gorgeous to look at for wedding lovers everywhere. I’m not planning my wedding yet, but I cannot tell you how many amazing ideas I’ve pinned to my wedding boards for later reference!

For the Style Obsessed

1. Wedding Chicks

Why is Wedding Chicks consistently one of our favorites? We love their effortlessly pretty and fun style. These girls always post such inspiring details on their blog, and on top of that, one of their best blog features is their free printables section. From smartphone wallpaper to invitation designs, they always have well-designed freebies to pull ideas from or use for your big day.

2. Style Me Pretty

Style Me Pretty is known for featuring dreamy real weddings. SMP always has tons of visual eye candy to get your mind going about what your dream wedding will be like. SMP is definitely the perfect place for the style-obsessed modern bride, and weddings seen here always feature the most breathtaking locations.

For the Budget Savvy

3. The Budget Savvy Bride

With the average cost of weddings totaling as much as $30K, many couples need to find ways to save a few dollars here and there. This is where resources like The Budget Savvy Bride come in. The best (well, one of the best – there are too many) parts about BSB is the Real Weddings section, where they break down weddings by budget. This helps couples get a realistic idea about what’s possible within their set budget and how other couples have made it work. BSB’s real wedding budget breakdowns range from $1K to $20K+.

For the Trendy Bride

4. Belle the Magazine

We have always been huge fans of Belle the Magazine because it’s all about the sophisticated bride. Belle the Magazine always posts about the hottest wedding trends of the year and has great images to go along with posts. Most of the focus is on particular trends for different items, such as cakes, centerpieces, bridal fashion and more. Also, our favorite feature is the Dress of the Week. We’re always on the edge of our seats waiting to see this week’s choice!

For the Vintage-Inspired

5. Ruffled

Ruffled is perfect for the unique, vintage and handmade-idea-focused bride. It’s an amazing resource for fresh and pretty ideas, and just like some of these other lovely blogs, they offer free printables and feature great DIY projects. We’re still dreaming about this amazing wedding: http://ruffledblog.com/galleries/midsummer-nights-dream-wedding/.

7. Every Last Detail

Lauren at Every Last Detail is a planner-turned-blogger who always posts gorgeous images and ideas while sharing her extensive knowledge about weddings. What we love most about ELD? The wedding planning section. Breaking tips down by budget, wedding style, honeymoon and every other detail you might think of, she has created a wonderful resource for brides. Another plus is her “Ask Lauren” advice section, where you can ask for expert answers to all of your biggest wedding dilemmas.

For the Alternative Bride

8. Offbeat Bride

The Offbeat Empire is such a kick-ass team! They constantly come up with unique content for the alternative bride, and we absolutely love it. So, if being an “offbeat” bride is right up your alley, rush on over to Offbeat Bride for tons of great ideas and inspiration.

For the Giggles

9. The Knotty Bride

I can’t even begin to tell you how much we love The Knotty Bride. She always makes us crack up! Come here for the LOLs and Bambino (her adorable puppy), while still of course getting the real rundown on wedding know-hows and words of wisdom. TKB showcases the best of the industry, and you always feel as if she’s speaking directly to you – basically, the best kind of commentary. Also, she has an entire section on boudoir, which we think is particularly fabulous.

For the DIY-Loving Bride

10. DIY Bride

Come here for all of your crafting needs! DIY Bride is such a comprehensive resource to help you learn how to become your very own Martha Stewart. Before you know it, you’ll be making everything from your centerpieces to very savvy wedding favors. And best of all, you’ll see how other brides have made tons of gorgeous crafts.

For the Modern Bride

11. Brooklyn Bride

Sleek, modern and chic is how we like to describe the Brooklyn Bride. Brooklyn Bride is one of our favorite niche blogs that features the latest ideas about how to plan a modern-day wedding. Brooklyn Bride’s editor is an interior designer by day and blogger by night, and her ever-so-chic and clean taste is what we especially love. Plus, here at Wedding Snap, we’re all about the modern bride.
